Prescription Contact Lenses for Every Need
Contact lenses offer a convenient solution for many people, whether you need daily disposable lenses, specialized lenses for astigmatism, or myopia control options. Our Galesburg optometrist provides contact lens fittings to ensure the perfect match for your prescription, eye health, and lifestyle. Whether you’re a first-time wearer or looking to upgrade your lenses, we guide you through every step.
Our Contact Lens Fitting Process
At Precision Family Eyecare, Dr. Nathan Dieckow takes the time to ensure you receive the best contact lenses for your needs. Our process includes:
1. Comprehensive Contact Lens Exam:
Before prescribing contact lenses, Dr. Dieckow performs a detailed eye exam to determine your prescription. He also checks for astigmatism, dry eye, or other lens comfort factors.
2. Lens Fitting & Trial Lenses:
Not all contact lenses fit the same way. A poor fit can cause discomfort, blurry vision, or eye strain. Dr. Dieckow measures your corneal curvature to select the right lens shape. This is followed by trial lenses to test comfort and clarity before committing.
3. Instructions for New Wearers:
If you’re new to contact lenses, don’t worry—our team provides one-on-one training to help you insert and remove your lenses. We’ll also teach you to properly clean and store your new lenses for optimal eye health.
4. Follow-Up Care for Long-Term Success:
We schedule a follow-up visit after your initial fitting to ensure your lenses feel comfortable. Dr. Dieckow checks for any vision changes and makes adjustments if needed.
Bifocal & Multifocal Contact Lenses
If you struggle to see clearly at near and far distances, bifocal and multifocal lenses are a great alternative to reading glasses. These lenses contain multiple vision zones, allowing you to shift focus between close-up, intermediate, and distance vision—without needing to remove your glasses.
Available in soft or rigid gas-permeable options, bifocal and multifocal contacts provide clear vision for those with presbyopia while offering the comfort and flexibility of contact lens wear.
